Bridgette B has made plenty of guys pop prematurely due to her sizzling scenes, but what you may not know about this gorgeous Latina pornstar is she is a businesswoman who is always hustling, making moves that set Bridgette apart from her fellow porn peers. Lingerie, cookbooks, acting in mainstream Spanish-language TV, Bridgette has even managed making money with her throaty voice. How’s that for being resourceful? She may look like your typical pornstar (tanned, blonde, fake tits) but her business smarts only adds to sex appeal!
Whack: Tell me about your lingerie line? Who is it targeted for?
Bridgette B: For about a year I started, with my own finances and my own resources, to go ahead and start a stripper lingerie line for the big busted, small waisted niche market. Once I got my boob job it was really hard to find well-fitted, sexy lingerie that wasn’t maternity wear. [Laughs] When I was out shopping I went, “My goodness. I’m spending $75 on a top but I still have to search the entire store to find a size 4 or 5 thong because when you’re a 34DDD, your underwear is automatically assumed to be a certain size and it’s not. You either do that or go to the stripper stores on Hollywood Blvd, which as we all know has no support. They’re very thin and flimsy and it’s still $20 a piece and it looks cheap, which is not my look at all. So fast forward two years later, after being lied to and having corporate people say they wanted this, they wanted that, it’s been such a long road. I’ve decided to put that aside for the moment. It’s not off the books yet. But if it comes out it’ll be coming out next year because I’m already halfway there.
Whack: So this line is really targeted to women who have had boob jobs?
Bridgette B: Right. A lot of us girls were sitting around on set and talking and look at each others tops and saying, “I like your bra, I like your top. I wish I could have that bra but they don’t make it in my size.” A lot of manufacturers assume that if you’re large busted you want to cover yourself up. Quite the contrary, I want to show them off. There’s different styles for that but they don’t provide for us. And I don’t want to search the entire store for a smaller bottom. I’m very proud of my body and I want to show it off. I spend a lot of money every month [Laughs] on lingerie when I could just make it myself. So it’s a slow process but it’s there. We’re on a little bit of a hiatus for a couple of months. So that’s why it’s been on the back burner.
Whack: I agree, you do have a great body. What do you do to keep in shape; do you go to the gym often?
Bridgette B: Part of my culture is food. Back home in Barcelona we don’t eat dinner until 10, 11pm. One of the things I’m most proud of is my culture. We are so passionate about food. We eat and we think about what we’re going to eat for lunch the next day and have a big bottle of wine, and it’s such an event. That’s almost all of our dinners, all of lunches, then we take a nap for god’s sake. We take a nap after lunch then we go back to work. So I brought that with me to the United States but it’s not good because I can’t do that at 11pm if I have to be up at 8am to be on set. So what I have to do is eliminating sauce and enhancing it with spices or hot sauce, and no fast food. I still love my wine so I drink a lot of wine. [Laughs] I’m fortunate enough to live in Southern California so I have Runyon Canyon right there. So me and my dog, you can find us hiking that canyon at least four times a week. I have a personal trainer who I see twice a week for strength training. So part of my job is to keep up the good work. [Laughs]
Whack: Is it true you have a cookbook coming out?
Bridgette B: I do. That is a definite for sure. I’ve been working on this project for at least two years. I’ve just been taking my time writing it, having a ghost writer and finally having a publishing house interested in it and distributing it. So the manuscript is done. We’re starting to shoot the food and myself, and I picked 20 of my best recipes. As soon as that’s done it should be on shelves for novelty stores—I have two versions—the first one is an X-rated version and the other version will be out oniBooks. So you’ll be able to download it. It’s going to be super simple and through my website you’ll be able to order the hard copy. So there’s going to be an avenue for everybody to pick it up.
Whack: I’ve heard that kitchen scenes are your favorite scenes to do. What is it about kitchen scenes that turn you on so much?
Bridgette B: I guess it’s definitely more personal because, like I mentioned before, my culture is very much based around food. Some of my memories, even my first kiss in college, we landed in the kitchen where we banged for the first time. It’s fun. Mostly when that happens there’s something cooking so I’m also eating at the same time or me. They’ll say, “You like it here.” [Laughs] I feel at home in the kitchen. Hell yeah! [Laughs]
Whack: So is food sexy? Do you incorporate food in your personal sex life?
Bridgette B: One of the funniest things I remember was a scene for Penthouse and there was a cake. I kept eying this cake. All I wanted to do was to eat this damn cake and they wouldn’t let me. I fucked my way through that scene; not only was it great and it felt good and I was happy to be there, but I knew when I was done that cake was going to be there. It was the only time I incorporated food. Other than that the vibe of the kitchen is just comfortable for me.
Whack: Your throaty voice is very sexy. Do people compliment you on your voice?
Bridgette B: I get quite a bit of, “Did you wake up that way? You’re very raspy. Are you a singer?” I wish. [Laughs] In the mornings I sound like Barry White. [Laughs] It goes that way all day. I do and I’m glad and it adds to the package.
Whack: Have you ever done any voice-over or phone sex jobs?
Bridgette B: I have. I’ve done it on Spanish language television not as a porn star but it was a regular commercial. I’ve done a couple of those. It’s been fun, and whenever I get asked I have no problem. It’s quite an easy day. You go in your pajamas, you work, you come home, not a bad day.
Whack: Are you currently doing mainstream Spanish language projects such as soap operas? Anything coming up we should be on the lookout for?
Bridgette B: Luckily the interest gets higher by the day and I work with a very close team. I have my manager, my agent, my publicist. Everyone who surrounds me is with me because they know what my end goal is, is to conquer the whole damn world. [Laughs] With that comes sacrifices. Unfortunately at this point, for me to move to Mexico, Venezuela, Miami, this is not happening. So I have no problems with hard work. I have always been raised in no matter what you do you always work hard and I have busted my ass in this business. I’m enjoying my life now. I’m enjoying the work. I love porn, I love to make it, I love to watch it and I love being in it and my pay is so great. The pay for me now to be in mainstream is going to be from the ground up and I don’t want to do that yet. [Laughs] I like where I am right now, it’s comfortable.
Whack: You’re very business-minded when it comes to your career. Are you an entrepreneur of sorts?
Bridgette B: Absolutely. I would not survive without it.
Whack: Would you say there are girls that don’t have a mind for business which is why they don’t succeed as much as you have?
Bridgette B: I can’t say I wasn’t like that in the beginning of my career. There were definitely a couple of months where I was going balls to the walls. I was only 24 when I started. I had already gotten my two degrees, got my masters, had that tucked away. My masters is in international marketing which is very much a business platform. So I already came into the business with that in mind. It just came naturally to me. I enjoyed the few months of going haywire but then I buckled down. After a couple of months I realized I do want to do this as a career. I’m putting my stamp of approval on my name which is Bridgette B to pretty much continue and to support myself, my family, and at the same time enjoy what I’m doing. Sounds like a plan to me. Once I did that I already knew to get a financialadvisor, I already knew I had to have investments, I already knew I had to put money in stock, I already knew all of this going in. Do some girls already know about all of that? Probably and I hope they do. I really do. I wish in porn there is like in college, where we have a business 101, finances 101, that tells you what to do with your money. I wish there was something like that for those performers in the business, especially now. We were out of work for eight weeks and a lot of struggle was going on. You kind of shake your head and you’re like, “Really? Don’t you save for a rainy day?” It’s none of my business and I’m not going to be out there preaching. I just do what I have to do for myself and if anybody is interested I’m more than happy to share and guide the way but I’m not going to be one to preach and to each their own.
Whack: Being that you’re from Spain what’s the attitude towards sex in Spain as oppose to here in the US?
Bridgette B: Although I went to an all girl Catholic boarding school for many years, and most of the youth would be at home running around naked which I still do. As a very young child you’re not seeing bodies and vagina’s and penises as a bad thing. You’re seeing it as, “He has something I don’t have.” We’re still running around naked, jumping into the ocean, jumping into the water, and playing in the pool, taking a bath, eating, everything was always done naked. So that’s how I knew my household. We also have live sex shows, and Nacho Vidal is one of the best acts and MarcoBanderas has done it too. How these male performers do it is beyond me but it’s in front of thousands of people sometimes, and you’re just fucking on stage. And we love to watch. It’s very much a cultural thing. The same way Europeans love to go topless in South Beach not because it’s sexual it’s just how we do it. It’s just how it is. So I think I brought that with me when I moved to LA, although Ididn’t consider porn to be a career, it was something I saw and loved watching, I justdidn’t think it was in my cards. I guess you realize what you’re meant to do and it just finds you.
Whack: Would you consider yourself shy in your private life?
Bridgette B: Yeah, absolutely. It’s one thing to be naked, it’s another thing to talk to people. [Laughs] I tend to be very reserve. I enjoy who I work with, I enjoy the people and I have a good time but you’ll usually find me on the couch with a book, my iPad, on the phone, just keeping to myself because I get shy. If there’s one thing I learned in this business is the less you say the better you are. [Laughs]
Whack: That’s good advice for any new girl entering the business.
Bridgette B: Keep your mouth shut, nod when you’re spoken to, smile and keep it moving. [Laughs]
Whack: What’s the B in Bridgette B stand for?
Bridgette B: My first agent when I first got into the business, we were just sitting down and chit chatting and thinking about what my name was going to be. I was like “Sophia something.” He said no because there’s already a Sophia in the business. We kept going down the list. A couple of days later we were talking and I mentioned to him that someone said I reminded him of Bridgette Bardot. He couldn’t really picture her and I looking similar. I Googled the name on my phone and I said, “I see it. I see the teeth, the hair, so we’re going to do Bridgette Bardeaux as my name. He was like, “That’s too long to put on a DVD cover,” so it was thanks to him he said, “Let’s shorten it to Bridgette B. I said, “Sounds good to me,” and here we are. [Laughs]
